Groundhog's Day
in Punxsutawney, PA!
This is "serious" business!
Just moments before the Groundhog sees his shadow.Actually, he does 85% of the time...I blame the lighting & camera flashes.
Photo of the crowdThey estimated attendance as 13,000 people.
Punxsutawney has a population just over 6,000 people.
Exciting stuff!
Fireworks...all a part of the celebration.
The grounds opened at 3 a.m., we arrived in plenty of time at 6:15 a.m.
It was a chilly 28 degrees Fahrenheit.
Chainsaw carving in Barlcay Square, downtown Punxsutawney.
Shhh, groundhog sleeping!(in the back, under the stacked rocks)
