Groundhog's Day
in Punxsutawney, PA!

The "Inner Circle" parades to the Knob.
This is "serious" business!
Just moments before the Groundhog sees his shadow.

7:25 A.M.: Punxsutawney Phil predicts 6 more weeks of winter!
Actually, he does 85% of the time...I blame the lighting & camera flashes.

Photo of the crowd
They estimated attendance as 13,000 people.
Punxsutawney has a population just over 6,000 people.

The one day a year that people are o.k. looking like a groundhog.

Even the news & the Weather Channel were there...
Exciting stuff!

Mark waiting to hear from the groundhog.

Fireworks...all a part of the celebration.

More of the crowd at Gobbler's Knob
The grounds opened at 3 a.m., we arrived in plenty of time at 6:15 a.m.
It was a chilly 28 degrees Fahrenheit.
Mark in front of the podium at Gobbler's Knob.

Looking for Phil 1 day prior to the festivities.
